Why is Evolved launching now? Why not earlier or later?

I studied executive and organizational patterns over the past eight years. Between 2022 and 2024, I researched over 80 organizational patterns in depth. The spawning of patterns eased off in late 2024. However, I have already researched four new patterns in 2025.

Like AI, but to a lesser extent, people and change will differ within 12 months. This is a moment to release something good enough for now before things get chaotic in people and change. A book will support the content. The work on the book drove most of the research.

For now, according to speakers at a recent AI conference in Greece, successful AI requires "humans in the loop" and humans "book-ending" with decent context in LLM and vibe coding prompts, as well as auditing the results. It made sense to me. Whether that is true or not, how confident can we be that humans will be "in the loop" in the medium term?

Whether an organization's desire for change is driven by technological shifts, the next <insert name> revolution, or something else, the need for emergent change is higher than it has ever been.

Yet, I see the proliferation of oversimplified or overly complicated solutions and a lack of systemic approaches for people and change in product management and project management.

Excessive bureaucracy curtails adaptiveness. So does an attitude of keeping promises even when it's learned they were terrible promises. More coherence is needed. To reduce the chances of negative chaos, more executives and board members need to embrace paradoxes and avoid false dichotomies. Consider humane effectiveness, adaptiveness, ambidexterity, and timeliness.

There are some positives to some 20th-century practices, and we include them for that reason. In a sense, we need to go "back to the future". But we also need to embrace reality, whatever that is.
